The Blyth BIA supports the Blyth and Area Business Improvement Area (BBIA) as an attractive business and shopping area. We’re proud to share our state-of-the-art cultural centre that’s available to rent from October to April for concerts / shows / conferences / meetings and other special events, and a campground with 800 fully serviced sites (+200 non-serviced). The Goderich-to-Guelph (G2G) Rail Trail runs right through the village, so we’re a great place to stop for a fun break and refreshments, and annual festivals and events offer more unique experiences to be enjoyed with new friends and old.

We offer English as a Second Language class to newcomers or to those who have lived in Canada for decades. Earn your high school diploma or upgrade credits for college or university. Get help finding or improving employment, preparing job applications and resumes, and standing out in interviews. You may qualify for funding to help cover job search costs, including interview clothes, required items for a new job, or mileage. Learn about funding options for education or skills training, including the Second Career program. We offer paid employment programs for youth, ages 15-30, which include placements with local employers. Local businesses will be interested in Financial Hiring Incentives for both youth and adults, Apprenticeship Hiring Bonuses, and the Canada – Ontario Job Grant to assist with the costs of maintaining your team’s competitive edge. Huron Women’s Shelter, Second Stage Housing and Counselling Services is the premier organization in Huron County dedicated solely to women’s safety, mental health and well-being.  Programming is centered on ending violence against women and their children, trauma recovery, mental health and providing access to resources and opportunities that increase independence.

The Centres for Employment & Learning provide learning opportunities with a focus on employment. Our continuum of learning and employment programs and services is accessed by adult learners in whatever manner makes sense to the achievement of their goals. Most learning is self-paced, individualized and self-directed with the support of our staff. The atmosphere of The Centres is informal, positive and inviting.
